The Nathaniel H. Pickett II Foundation proudly presents our 1st Annual Community Care Fair
we at the NHP2 foundation want to do our part in servicing the community and eliminating the stigma around mental health by providing spaces and resources for learning, healing, and building community.

United Nations Expert Mechanisms

(2023)

The International Independent Expert Mechanism to Advance Racial Justice and Equality in the context of Law Enforcement (EMLER) visited the United States from April 24 – May 5, 2023. During this mission, the Expert Mechanism traveled to different cities around the country to meet with Community Leaders, Civil Rights organizations, Affected Family Members of Police Violence, Activists, Government Officials, Law Enforcement Authorities, United Nations Representatives, Academics, and Lawyers.

In LA the meeting topics included Homelessness, LA County Jails and Prison conditions, Immigration, and Families affected by Police Violence.

UNARC sponsored the events across the country, In Los Angeles The Nathaniel H Pickett Foundation was a co-sponsor, other co-sponsors were the Haitian Bridge Alliance, Los Angeles Community Action Network, Black Alliance For Just Immigration, The International People's Democratic Uhuru Movement, and Black Lives Matter.
